Prejudice Exists

It's interesting to live in a culture that allows open expression, opinions. People judge, have preconceived opinions, based on their life experiences, and tales from others.

Human reaction of clutching a purse, for example, when passing-by teens is normal after being robbed by them. Perhaps, a loved one had bad encounters with teens, and your loved one re-counts the circumstances, often. It's not unusual to form a prejudice, especially when the loved one's keeps telling you about it. The prejudice is compounded when your love one's life is turned-upside-down by actions of teens, or the negative encounter.

Let's look at another situation.

There's one job available, but two applicants of different races wanting the position.

Feelings of prejudice will tip into the mind of whichever applicant remains unemployed. Most likely, race didn't play a role.

The unemployed applicant spreads his/her experience to family and friends. The preconceived opinions take root.

The most production action to take is step around prejudice. if it's real, handle it through the law. Often, it's a preconceived opinion.

Everyone is different. There's no reason to blame a group or race for the actions of one, few.

Prejudice exists because people permit it.

If you live with someone pointing-out preconceived flaws of someone, group, then prejudice grows.

Prejudice can't exist when the facts are known. Facts are freeing, or should be.

Seek-out medical or legal help when facts let prejudice exist within you.

The answer to that starts with
whether or not you're going
to write about fiction or
non-fiction.

Fiction is a world created by
a writer. He/she populates it
with memorable characters, an
interesting setting and a plot
that takes the reader down
various twisted paths.

Non-fiction is based on facts,
researched information. The
research route leads to the
Internet, library, interviews
too.

Writing ideas await at home,
in gatherings and at the
doctor's office.

At home, you're sitting and
relaxing. The room is warm,
shelter from the winter season.
A sudden cold breeze push at
your back. You snap your head
around to see nothing.

The incident can be spun into
fiction or non-fiction.

In fiction, the writing idea
surrounds a haunted house.
People rumor that it's haunted
because death of a popular
person happened in the house
under suspicious circumstances,
or anyone who sleeps in a
certain room of the house
dies mysteriously.

A non-fiction idea centers
around researching owners of
one house, several generations.
The idea is to locate people
who can give eye-witness
accounts of paranormal activity.

Gatherings are opportunities for
collecting writing ideas. There's
usually more than one generation
to get writing ideas from.

A topic is talked about that
you'd like to write fiction
or non-fiction about.

Perhaps, a family secret was
whispered about. Do you write
fiction or non-fiction about
it? The choice rests in your
hands, the writer.

A possible idea follows.

"You stole grandmother's money?"
A cousin shouted.

"Weren't talkin' to ya," Billy
said.

Mouths dropped, sighs and aws
could be heard three miles away.

What should happen next?

A non-fiction project could
focus on a study of your family.
Your idea?

The doctor's office is a place
most people would prefer not
to visit. Still, writing ideas
live there.

Have something happened in a
doctor's office you'd like to

file?" A nurse rushed to the desk.

The lady at the front desk looked
in a wall covered file cabinet,
but couldn't find it.

"Not here."

The sound of someone bouncing
against the wall shot from the

"Help..."

Morality Laced In Facts

The facts play a major role in the
side I'm on, and morality influences
it. Facts can't be pushed aside, because
they make the case. Facts speak for
themselves. The question is: Do you have
enough moral fiber to do what's right?

"Who cares?" Friends said." "What's moral
for him/her isn't for us."

A moral value system is how human beings
treat one another. Moral human beings treat
one another as he/she wish to be treated.
It's easy to go-along with the crowd-friends.
It takes inner strength and morals to stand
for somethng, to rise above the crowd.

It's the difference between losing freedom
and living a good quality life. Freedom is
lost when a person ends up behind bars or in
the legal system. A life of quality is picking
to live, work, in a certain place.

When facts are ignored, morals pushed aside, a
human being is lost. It's very hard to find the
way back. Most times, it's impossible.

Never push-aside morality laced in facts because
a friend or relative disagrees.
