Twitter's Plan To Re-Design iOS App

Twitter has a plan to re-design its mobile apps according to AllThingsD. Home, Connect, Me Sections, Content and Discover will become streams, and managed/navigated by swiping. The Discover section will be taken out, and Media available in all streams.

Twitter is experimenting with a stream that shows only television related tweets and conversations. The idea is to help users retain/enjoy by delivering interesting content.

Now, the re-designed app becomes available after the iOS 7 is out. It arrives with a focus on streams, but the standard Menu bar on the bottom, gone.

Twitter iOS is an app that can be downloaded from the App Store, for free.

answer. Everyone have a different
view of the world, or gather story
ideas differently.

I was unjustly fired from a job some
years ago. From time to time, I'd
jot down accounts of what happened.
Writing down incidents helped me see
the situation clearer as well as
moving me forward in life.

I kept looking at what was written,
and decided to write a book. My book,
Grave Street House, was published in
2007.

When I walked onto my street heads
bobbed and turned,
some people cried. They knew the horror
awaiting him. A few drifted into their
places of security. The homeless intruder
wobbled, stumbled on his way into the
House. They reacted with clear warnings
to stay out. He ignored them. He, slowed
down, whirled his head toward me with
fear in his eyes. I motioned with my
hand for him to come back. I rushed
closer to the House, forced my way
through the mob of people.

Family is an excellent source for story
ideas. Have your family talked around a
secret, no one knew what really happened?
An idea is to do research to find out
the facts and then write about it.

A second story idea is of a certain
family member's favorite word- dang.
The word could become that of a
fictional character.

A third story idea from family is
relatives re-telling what happened
to a neighbor on a wintry night.

Networks, like Twitter, offers an
author various story ideas. Look at
any tweet to get a story idea. Find
a tweet that would interest a large
segment of the population. Spin-out
an attention grabbing title. Work
the story idea. Let your creative
flow run free.

In closing, authors get story ideas
from anywhere that they go. It's a
matter of picking one with large
appeal.

NBC News Twitter Account Hacked

NBC News Twitter account, on Friday
afternoon, was hacked. Messages
detailing a false report of a plane
crash on the site of where New
York's twin towers were destroyed
September 11, 10 years ago, were
spread.

The Script Kiddies are taking
credit for hacking the Twitter
feed of NBC News. A number of
tweets like the following were
posted.

"Breaking News! Ground Zero has
just been attacked. Flight 5736
has crashed into the site,
suspected hijacking. more as the
story develops."

The hacking came just two days
before America marks its 10th
anniversary of the 2001 terrorist
attacks.

"We are working with Twitter to
correct the situation and sincerely
apologize for the scare that could
have been caused by such reckless
and irresponsible act," NBC News
in a statement.

The Twitter account was later
suspended, but the false tweets were
sent quickly per reports.

The Business insider called it a
"disgusting 9/11 prank."

Micro-Poetry

Twi-Haiku, known as Twitter poetry,
is micro-poetry or short poems.
Twi-Haiku is described by how brief,
short, it is. Brief, not long ago,
usually referenced Haiku.

Micro-blogging changed that. Micro-
blogging created a new place for
Twi-Haiku, and an option for today's
poet.

Our society, for the most part, is
fast-paced. Micro-poetry fits a need.
People live life multi-tasking, but
enjoy expressing themselves poetically.
Longer poetic forms don't appeal for
any number of reasons.

It takes time to get comfortable with
a longer poetic form. People are short
on time, and there's not enough hours
in a day to learn the various poetry
forms. Some people want to do more
relaxing than learning in their free
time.

People are looking to stress down in
the small amount of free time
available to them.

The idea of writing micro-poetry is
fun, and it allows to the point
thoughts without spending tons of time.
Editing, if necessary, is brief too.

Twi-Haiku publishes poetry to a large
number of people. It provides an
audience, and a different audience
for poetry.

Twi-Haiku promotes micro-poetry, gives
an opportunity to hone the craft and
reach-out to other poets, people.

A Twi-Haiku must be written in 140
characters or less. Twi-Haiku is a
Twitter organization.

Twi-Haiku is a place where Twitter
and poetry come-out to play, be seen.

It's an online application, and the
process to get an account is simple.
Type-in a user name, pick a password
and answer the security question.

Twi-Haiku is for poets to discuss,
read, contribute, rate and follow.
Users can vote and search for poems
that grab their attention, like other
social networking web sites. Twi-Haiku,
in this way, users influence content/
quality.

Twi-Haiku's mission statement "is to offer
free, alternative and authoritative
literature resource and one stop environment
for everyone looking not only for new
reading experience, but also for opportunity
to shape that experience by taking active
role in its creation."

and Maybach Music rapper Wale had
a exchange.

The verbal debate began when Kola
stated her opinion about Wale not
having black women of a dark
complexion in his videos to another
twitter user, and fans chimed in.

Boof tweeted:

"There wasn't a single Black woman
in "Pretty Girls"...so what in the
f- was he saying about African
women?? His own race?" @WALE is a

Re-Cap Search Feature On Twitter

Twitter's search engine is stuffed
full of knowledge about anything,
everything, pertaining to what's
going on now. Let's say a friend
mentioned today that Marcella Glenn
entered school B in a contest. Only,
it was several days ago.

Twitter, as it stands, has no way to
re-cap the link to the elementary school,
or find out anything about the contest.

On Wednesday, Google introduced a re-cap,
replay, search feature that will allow a
search for tweets- in a given time period.

"Tweets and other short form updates create
a history of commentary that can provide
valuable insights into what's happened and
how people have reacted." Dylan Casey,
product manager for Google real-time search,
scribbled in a blog post. "We want to give
you a way to search across this information
and make it useful."

Let's look at how it works. After you do a
Google search, click on the Show Options link.
Recent tweets will show-case pertaining to
your search.

A chart appears at the top of your results.
The chart allows you to search by hour, day,
month. Now, the friend can search for which
school Marcella Glenn entered into the contest,
and use the link:

The service is available back to February 11,
2010, but the archive will soon allow users
to search results back to March 21, 2006. The

e-mail service.

"I've heard about Buzz, but not

said.

Google's Buzz is a social media
sharing service. It shares photos,
videos, updates, and links from
Gmail. Buzz works with mobile
browsers too.

Buzz is easy to use, and fast.
Google, overall, protects user
data.

"How do I start Buzz?" You asked.

1. Log into your Gmail account.

2. Below the in-box, the Buzz
folder sits.

3. Click on it.

4. Follow the prompts.

Buzz is capable of connecting,
pulling, feeds from Twitter,
YouTube, Blogger, Flickr, Google
Reader, and Picasa Web.

You can share Blogger, Twitter, and
YouTube through the Buzz stream. Let's
look at how it works.

A friend has accounts at the above
mentioned sites, for example. There's
no need for you to subscribe to them,
visit, or click on links. Simply, log
into Gmail. Allow the Buzz stream to do
the work.

The Buzz tab is under the in-box tab.

There's an auto-follow feature on Buzz.
The goal is for an easy start-up. It
allows frequent e-mail and chat clients,
contacts, to follow you without tapping,
clicking, on anything.

However, clients, contacts, were shown
to the public before they filled out
Buzz profiles.

Some people were irate, others confused.
Still, there are people, for one reason
or another, that just rather not have
the Buzz feature.

It's understandable that people dislike
their information open to the public,
especially when they're out of the "loop".

"We've heard your feedback loud and clear,
and since we launched Google Buzz, we've
been working to address the concerns
you've raised," explained Todd Jackson,
Gmail and Google Buzz product manager.

There is a way to rid yourself of Buzz.

The bottom of Gmail has the words:
"turn off Buzz".

It removes active links, but leaves
your profile open to the public.

Free yourself of Buzz with the below
steps.

1. Find your name, profile.

2. In the public time-line, delete
every Buzz.

3. Remove all the followers too.

First, get an account.
Type Twitter: "What are
you doing?" in your
search engine.

Click on: "Twitter--What are
you doing?"

The Twitter web site pops
up, and then create an
account.

Twitter inspires you to
write better by limiting
your writing space.

You are allowed one
hundred and forty characters
to convey a message.
The spaces between words,
any symbols used, letters,
and punctuation count.

Twitter inspires the best
from you by pushing
your think mode button.
You have no choice, but
to be concise.

You stumble-fumble to
find the perfect word,
combination of words,
to paint an exact written
picture.

There isn't space to be
chatty, or provide bloated
words. Get to the point.
It's essential you select
words wisely.

Look at words upside down,
inside out, to find descriptive
words. Or, use as few words
as possible to display your
idea.

"What do you mean?" A few
questioned.

Gather up verbs to sprinkle
throughout your post.

Obliterate the adverb-adjective
using tendency.

It's normal to type more than
Twitter has room for. Simply,
try again.

Here's an idea. Aim for
Twitter's capacity. Type your
post elsewhere. Did you meet
the limit?

If yes, good job.

If no, take out all the words
just taking up space. Any
word not vital to the meaning
of your post, delete it. Are
you using verbs? Mix in
short words.

I, personally, look forward to
Retweet(RT). Retweet is an
accepted practice on Twitter.

It's done by copying someone's
